Romain Alléaume

Professor at Télécom Paris and Co-founder at SeQureNet

Romain Alléaume hold the position of a Professor in the Networks and Computer Science Department of the Télécom Paris – Institut Polytechnique de Paris. He graduated from École Normale Supérieure (ENS) Paris and completed his PhD at University Paris VI and ENS Cachan in 2004.

Professor Alléaume co-founded the start-up company SeQureNet in 2008. He participated to two national projects on quantum key distribution PROSPIQ and SEQURE, as well as the French-Canadian project FREQUENCY. He then coordinated many national and european projects. He is also a member of the ETSI QKD Industry Standardization Group, and an active contributor to the international scientific and technical effort on QKD technology, and quantum cryptography.

His research is centered on quantum information and quantum cryptography, with a particular focus on optical quantum communications and quantum key distribution (QKD).
