Idriss Hank Nkouatchoua Ngueya is a PhD researcher at the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) at the University of Gdańsk, where his work focuses on quantum thermodynamics, open quantum systems, and quantum information theory. He previously completed a Master’s degree in Quantum Information Technology at the University of Gdańsk and was awarded a scholarship from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Cameroon, where he worked on geometric approaches to finite-time thermodynamics and optimal control in quantum systems.
His current research lies at the intersection of quantum resources and thermodynamics, with particular interest in quantum thermal machines, driven open quantum systems, and the fundamental principles governing energy and information at the quantum scale. Idriss has contributed to several research projects within ICTQT and has collaborated on topics ranging from quantum thermodynamics to solid-state physics and quantum devices. He previously served as a tutor during Q-Camp 2025, leading tutorial sessions on reinforcement learning, quantum correlations, and quantum coherence, and is excited to continue supporting students as they explore the rapidly evolving landscape of quantum technologies.
