Fernando Almaguer is a PhD student at the ICTQT, Gdańsk University, where his work focuses on quantum computing, quantum computer architecture, and the reliability and security of quantum hardware. His research combines experimental studies on real quantum processors with topics such as quantum error characterization, hardware vulnerabilities, and quantum software development. He has tutored at Q-Camp 25 on topics related to global positioning and navigation, quantum cryptography and information.
At Q-Camp 26, Fernando will lead the exercise sessions, helping participants reinforce the concepts covered during the lectures through practical problem-solving. He enjoys making complex technical topics accessible and believes that hands-on exercises are one of the most effective ways to learn quantum computing.
